Description

• OpenLoop is seeking an enterprising and creative Product Counsel to join our growing Legal team remotely or based in our HQ out of Des Moines, IA. • As Product Counsel, you will provide teams across the company with practical legal advice supporting cross functional teams in regulatory compliance and contract redlining. • You will get to work on interesting and novel issues that arise from the intersection of healthcare and technology. • Partner with our Product, Growth, and Marketing teams to provide legal support on category development, new and existing solutions, marketing and educational materials, and digital product design. • Identify privacy and regulatory issues and collaborate with the General Counsel to align on clear, actionable legal guidance. • Review customer-facing promotional content, including advertising, website content, social media posts, and product packaging, for compliance with legal and regulatory standards. • Provide practical, business-focused, solutions-oriented, clear, and concise legal guidance. • Develop relationships and build trust with business partners. • Stay informed on product developments, business objectives, and the ever-changing legal landscape affecting the business.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school • Active bar membership in at least one US jurisdiction • 5+ years of experience practicing law with 3+ years being at a Telehealth company • Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities • Strong business judgment and creative mindset • Experience advising on FDA-regulated products preferred • Experience advising on intellectual property issues, such as trademarks and copyrights • Working knowledge of US and state consumer privacy laws and healthcare privacy laws
