Description

• OpenLoop is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team remotely or based out of HQ in Des Moines, IA. • In this position, you will work closely with the Controller and other members of the Accounting team in all aspects of finance and accounting functions. • This is a fast paced, dynamic, and fun environment. • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Perform day to day accounting duties in AP, AR, cash management, payroll, FA, the GL and other duties as assigned. • Assist with monthly close process by posting monthly journal entries, performing account reconciliations and ad-hoc financial analysis. • Interface with external accountants during audits. • Assist in maintaining regular contact and building solid working relationships with various groups to ensure a high level of customer service and work product. • Assist on projects and ad hoc assignments as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field • Excellent knowledge of GAAP • 4-6 years of progressive accounting/finance experience; ideally a public accounting/private industry mix • CPA and/or MBA a plus • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (v-lookup, pivot tables, etc.) • Must be trustworthy and confidential • Must have excellent communication skills and ability to present to senior management • Precision/detail oriented with strong analytical skills • Proven ability to identify and drive process/system improvements • Positive, energetic, optimistic attitude with a willingness to roll up your sleeves
