Description

•OpenZeppelin seeks experienced lawyer for legal matters at growth-stage security company. •Draft, negotiate, and close agreements, managing client and vendor contracts. •Provide risk-weighted advice balancing legal issues with commercial strategies. •Collaborate with General Counsel on various international and compliance matters. •Regularly update legal templates and automate contracting processes. •Conduct trainings on compliance practices and manage legal records. •Tackle projects to support Company goals and pursue personal interests.

Requirements

•5-7 years of relevant legal experience, preferably with a mix of law firm experience and in-house experience at a high-growth tech company •Demonstrated experience and comprehensive knowledge in drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements in the technology space, including SaaS and on-prem delivery models •Highly analytical with an impeccable attention to detail •Creative problem-solving and negotiation skills and you take a pragmatic, business-minded approach to legal analyses and risk assessments •Comfortable with high levels of responsibility and self-direction with excellent follow-through skills, and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously •Expert communicator, verbally and in writing, who is capable of explaining complicated topics to those without legal training •A law degree and a license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction
