📋 Description
• Paddle offers a new approach to payment infrastructure for digital product companies. • As Engineering Manager, you’ll develop Paddle’s product data capabilities. • You'll hire and coach engineers while collaborating with Product Manager. • Drive improvements in team processes and practices for maximum impact. • Oversee technical decisions and technical strategy within the product area. • Help improve Paddle’s high-traffic event-driven system reliability and scalability. • Contribute to department engineering principles and practices.
🎯 Requirements
• Passion for developing people and at least 1 year of management experience with direct reports. • Strong experience as a senior software engineer working on large-scale, cloud-based systems. • Understanding of what it means to be a high-performing and sustainable engineering team. • Excellent communication skills, leading technical discussions with engineers and non-technical colleagues. • Excited by building products that handle payments, transfers, and financial reconciliation. • Detail-oriented with an understanding of money movements. • Comfortable with financial, risk, and legal stakeholders, ensuring systems are reliable and compliant. • Proactive, enjoys ownership, self-aware, and open to improvement.
