β’ Support strong vendor relationships with key providers and internal stakeholders β’ Identify cost reduction opportunities through strategic sourcing and supplier management initiatives. β’ Implement measures to optimize procurement processes, such as contract standardization and automation. β’ Track and analyze procurement data to identify trends and areas for improvement β’ Collaborate with finance and other departments to develop and monitor cost-saving initiatives. β’ Advise on contract negotiations, vendor selection, and risk assessment β’ Support category managers and business owners in addressing complex procurement issues.
β’ IT CATEGORY MANAGEMENT experience with a focus on HARDWARE is REQUIRED β’ Preferred 5 years of IT Category Management/Strategic Procurement/Vendor Management experience β’ Experience in developing and implementing procurement processes, strategies, and best practices with strong contract management skills. β’ Ability to foster and maintain relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders β’ Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to procurement processes. β’ Analytical in nature with excellent communication skills - strong interpersonal, negotiation ability with exceptional problem-solving skills. β’ Ability to conduct market research and analysis β’ Proficiency in using procurement software and tools β’ Solid understanding of finance and cost-saving principles β’ Strong organizational, attention to detail and effective time management skills β’ Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively multi-task. β’ Strong leadership and decision-making skills β’ Experience within the field of clinical vendor operational delivery (ex: Laboratories, Interactive Response Technology, Electronic Clinical Outcome Assessments, Translations) or hands-on experience in the management of clinical vendor services. β’ IT Category Management experience with a focus on hardware/telecom is REQUIRED β’ Experience in managing the scoping of clinical vendor services for complex sponsor protocols and familiarity with vendor startup/operational activities during maintenance phase. β’ Experience in working with multiple stakeholders, including sponsors, in the development and finalization of vendor scope of service β’ Demonstrated experience in conducting difficult conversations and negotiating with sponsors as well as vendors
