Description

• Support strong vendor relationships with key providers and internal stakeholders • Identify cost reduction opportunities through strategic sourcing and supplier management initiatives. • Implement measures to optimize procurement processes, such as contract standardization and automation. • Track and analyze procurement data to identify trends and areas for improvement • Collaborate with finance and other departments to develop and monitor cost-saving initiatives. • Advise on contract negotiations, vendor selection, and risk assessment • Support category managers and business owners in addressing complex procurement issues.

Requirements

• IT CATEGORY MANAGEMENT experience with a focus on HARDWARE is REQUIRED • Preferred 5 years of IT Category Management/Strategic Procurement/Vendor Management experience • Experience in developing and implementing procurement processes, strategies, and best practices with strong contract management skills. • Ability to foster and maintain relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to procurement processes. • Analytical in nature with excellent communication skills - strong interpersonal, negotiation ability with exceptional problem-solving skills. • Ability to conduct market research and analysis • Proficiency in using procurement software and tools • Solid understanding of finance and cost-saving principles • Strong organizational, attention to detail and effective time management skills • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively multi-task. • Strong leadership and decision-making skills • Experience within the field of clinical vendor operational delivery (ex: Laboratories, Interactive Response Technology, Electronic Clinical Outcome Assessments, Translations) or hands-on experience in the management of clinical vendor services. • IT Category Management experience with a focus on hardware/telecom is REQUIRED • Experience in managing the scoping of clinical vendor services for complex sponsor protocols and familiarity with vendor startup/operational activities during maintenance phase. • Experience in working with multiple stakeholders, including sponsors, in the development and finalization of vendor scope of service • Demonstrated experience in conducting difficult conversations and negotiating with sponsors as well as vendors
