• Provide primary operational support to various programs within Global Medical Operations, Governance and Community (GMOGC). • Assess grant eligibility and compliance, facilitate grant reviews, and serve as primary contact for grantee organizations. • Negotiate contracts, process financial transactions, coordinate drug supply, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders. • Coordinate with Pfizer Country Office (PCO) colleagues and Headquarters (HQ) colleagues for logistical support and compliance. • Perform due diligence on grant requestor, verify accreditation, and review grant request for accuracy and completeness. • Complete/support necessary further due diligence activities such as anti-bribery and corruption processes. • Partner with medical reviewers and approvers to allocate payment and set milestones. • Liaise with external stakeholders and local legal colleagues to ensure acceptance and execution of the grant contract. • Manage financial transactional details and drug supply requests based on executed contract and milestone payments. • Manage program oversight activities for enrollment, IRB approval/renewals, and progress, and assist with status reports or queries as required. • Partner with global team to contribute to process and technology improvement projects as requested.
• Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS) required with preference for a focus in science, healthcare, or related field. • Master’s degree in relevant field preferred (MA, MS). • Oral and written fluency in English and Italian • 3+ years operations experience in clinical trial management, educational grants, or healthcare industry (pharmaceuticals/life sciences/medical) for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree. • 1+ years experience for candidates with a Master’s degree. • Demonstrated effectiveness working in a multidisciplinary, matrix team situation, and proven ability to manage change and diversity. • Strong understanding of multiple disciplines (e.g., healthcare compliance/law, regulatory, drug supply, clinical and pre-clinical research, medical educational, publication development, project and budget management) • Ability to work independently (with limited supervision) and use own judgment to resolve moderately complex issues. • Knowledge of IT systems/software for database maintenance and document management. • Experience with various Pfizer processes/systems/functions: MAPP (FCPA), Ariba SAP reporting strongly preferred.
