Description

• The Solar Project Engineer III will support engineering and quality control efforts for Pivot’s projects during construction and commissioning. • Provide technical assistance as needed for operational assets. • Review construction drawings, PVsyst reports, and commissioning documents to ensure projects meet technical specifications and industry best practices. • Coordinate with Independent and Owner’s Engineers to address technical questions. • Collaborate with internal project management and finance teams to support project financing activities. • Serve as a technical lead and complete tasks with occasional supervision. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. • This is an exciting opportunity to launch your career in the growing renewables industry.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in community-scale solar PV and energy storage engineering and construction. • Knowledge of photovoltaic system design, and battery energy storage system design. • National Electric Code, International Fire Code, and other relevant building codes. • Knowledge of AC and DC electrical design and equipment. • Knowledge of utility distribution requirements, equipment, and design. • Working knowledge of PVsyst and system performance analysis. • Knowledge of solar, battery energy storage, and electrical commissioning and testing standards and techniques. • Strong working knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing programs. • Exceptional interpersonal skills with an aptitude for professionally building trust and rapport. • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects and tasks. • Must have a constant sense of urgency and an “action-oriented” mentality with comfort operating in undefined spaces, and a desire to create systems to standardize undefined processes.
