Description

• Join our remote team as a Scraping Engineer where you’ll spearhead the development of scraping tools and infrastructure essential to our data collection processes. • This role is crucial for scaling our vast database and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the data feeds into our platform. • Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable scrapers using Node.js, Docker, and AWS. • Manage data extraction from various online sources and ensure high data quality and integrity. • Work with the product and data teams to expand our data collection capabilities and integrate scraping results into our platform. • Optimize existing scraping tools and processes to handle increasing volumes of data. • Collaborate in the design and architecture of new features focused on automation and data processing.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in software engineering with a strong focus on web scraping and data processing. • Proficient in Node.js, Docker, and AWS (Lambdas, EC2, S3, etc.), with experience in managing large data sets and developing APIs. • Experience with common scraping tools (like Puppeteer, Cheerio, Scrapy, or similar) and understanding of CAPTCHA solving, IP rotation, and anti-scraping technologies. • Good communication skills in English (written and verbal). • TypeScript knowledge is a plus.
