• Reporting to the Manager, Payroll, the Payroll Specialist is a critical position within the organization, serving a workforce of over 1,100 employees in the US. • This position is responsible for processing and reviewing semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll and for ensuring compliance with company and legislative requirements. • The Payroll Specialist provides subject matter expertise regarding all payroll processes and procedures. • This position focuses on the administration of payroll processes, and procedures, as well as assisting other departments. • The position serves as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns with respect to payroll issues. • The position requires that the employee possess full cycle payroll experience with Dayforce (Ceridian) and can multitask and work independently. • Integrity, strong attention to detail, and time management are crucial for this role.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of related experience in administering full cycle payroll. • Minimum of 1-year recent Dayforce (Ceridian) experience. • Understanding of payroll practices and US legislation. • Intermediate Excel skills. • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to set priorities and meet tight deadlines. • Service-oriented with strong communication skills, both verbally and written. • Ability to work well independently, as well as in a team. • Must be able to handle confidential information in an ethical and professional manner. • Post-secondary education or equivalent business experience. • Payroll Professional designation.
