• We are currently in search of a Senior Backend Developer who possesses a wealth of experience operating within an Agile environment, specializing in the development of intricate PHP-based Laravel applications and services. • The Senior Backend Developer holds a pivotal role within our engineering team, ensuring the seamless functioning of our systems, much like the engine of an automobile. • Proficient in utilizing specialized tools such as Laravel, they excel in the role of a detective, swiftly identifying and resolving any issues that may arise. • Collaboration is a key aspect of their role, as they closely work with various internal teams, including marketing, commercial, quality assurance, and customer success, to address and enhance software functionality. • They act as a superhero, contributing to all aspects of software development, and are adept at crafting clean and efficient code that ensures the overall system's optimal performance.

Requirements

• Have previous work experience as a software engineer for 10 or more years. • Have a degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering (or something like that), or lots of experience in the industry. • K now your way around Laravel and PHP, as well as Redis and MySQL (Inertia, VueJS, Livewire, Nginx, AWS, would be a bonus!). • You're exceptional on the latest PHP (version 8.0 and up), Unit and functional testing, and managing APIs. • You can handle a project from start to finish - from the planning and research to the final product. • K now how to design and use databases with SQL. • Good communication skills both written and verbal. • Be able to work as part of a team as well as independently. • K now your way around big bits of code and how to set them up to grow. • Previous experience using CI/CD, Git, and Agile ways of working. • K now how to use tools to make our product go even faster. • C an turn ideas and designs into things that work and can be used again and again. • Detailed orientated and organised, ensure that code is typed properly. • English as a first language, or exceptional English as a second language.
