Description

• The Senior Accountant position helps ensure compliance with internal financial requirements. • Works closely with development and procurement teams for donation and grant accounting accuracy. • Assists with audits, prepares reports, and other administrative activities under Accounting Manager's guidance. • Overseeing accounting activities, including cash receipts, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and inventory. • Maintains subsidiary and WIP ledgers, records depreciation expenses, and reconciles at month-end for Fixed Asset Accounting. • Ensures proper recording of donations/grants and timely distribution of updates. • Performs cash receipt and payroll accounting, ensures timely processing and reconciles at month-end. • Prepares financial reporting analysis and ensures compliance with GAAP. • Reviews grant agreements to accurately document receivables. • Maintains professionalism and positive relationships while optimizing finance processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field. • 3 - 5 years as a senior accountant preferably in the nonprofit sector. • Possess strong detailed analytical skills, and can apply these skills to solve problems, resolve issues, and make sound decisions. • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. • Possess strong collaborative skills to work well with both internal and external partners. • Exemplifies strong customer service skills. • Ability to manage time wisely and communicate timely while managing multiple projects. • 3 - 5 years as a senior accountant preferably in the nonprofit sector (preferred). • Project accounting experience preferred (preferred). • Proficient in Excel (preferred). • Abilia (MIP) experience (preferred). • General knowledge of non-profit accounting principles in a Healthcare environment (preferred).
