β€’ Primer is seeking a Florida/Alabama Licensed Architect with experience in school conversion projects to join our team. β€’ This role focuses on guiding projects through early analysis, design, permitting, and value engineering while ensuring code compliance and efficient project delivery. β€’ Conduct initial code analysis to assess project feasibility and compliance. β€’ Perform initial test fits to evaluate design potential and space utilization for school conversion projects. β€’ Create detailed plans for project design, ensuring alignment with local codes and regulations. β€’ Manage plan production for existing portfolio projects to address code compliance requirements. β€’ Oversee permit management processes to ensure timely approvals and compliance with local departments. β€’ Manage additional third parties as needed: Civil, FLS specialist, etc. β€’ Leverage local relationships to streamline permitting and project execution. β€’ Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering while maintaining design integrity and functionality. β€’ Cultivate strong relationships with local stakeholders, including permitting agencies, contractors, and consultants, to facilitate project success.

🎯 Requirements

β€’ Active architectural license in Florida and Alabama (required). β€’ Proven experience in school conversion projects, with a strong understanding of educational facility design. β€’ In-depth knowledge of local building codes, fire codes, ADA, zoning regulations, and permitting processes in FL/AL. β€’ Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and project management tools. β€’ Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. β€’ Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
