Description

• Underwriting Supervisor managing team of Underwriting staff. • Evaluating new and renewal business to ensure risk quality. • Provides training and identifies development opportunities for staff. • Ensures compliance with state requirements and policies. • Participates in policyholder meetings for new and renewal business. • Forming relationships with agents in designated region.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business or related field, with 5 years of experience in professional liability underwriting, or Associates degree with 9 years’ experience in professional liability underwriting. • Previous experience in a lead or mentor role. • Working knowledge of the insurance industry. • Must be available to travel up to 20% of the time. • Strong management, written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills. • Must have or be working toward CPCU, RPLU or other relative insurance designations. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
