📋 Description
• Responsible for providing applications engineering support • Focus on three-phase power, automation and communication • Assist with high-level design challenges • Provide technical support to design engineering team • Collaborate with mechanical design and production teams • Input on potential new products or changes • Technical input on customer plans and specifications • Ensure product offering fits the application • Assist building library of standard design details • Provide technical training on company products
🎯 Requirements
• BSEE or equivalent • Minimum 3 years of experience in design, applications or field service role • Solid grasp of three-phase electric power concepts • Understanding of communications hardware and protocols • Familiarity with National Electric Code and UL / IEEE standards • Team player with strong communication skills • Self-motivated with ability to work independently • PREFERRED: experience with AutoCAD, EasyPower, SEL QuickSet • A PLUS: Switchgear design experience • Ability to read mechanical assembly drawings • PLC and HMI application programming experience • Power study and protection coordination experience • Python programming experience
