Description
• Protect Democracy seeks a Communications Associate focused on media engagement and strategy. • Maintain and improve media engagement strategy. • Conduct research to identify opportunities in the media landscape. • Support staff by preparing them for media appearances. • Craft and edit media-facing content. • Contribute to culture-building initiatives across the organization.
Requirements
• At least 24 months of experience with media strategy and engagement • Eagerness to develop media work and understand the evolving information landscape • Attention to detail for effective interpersonal communications • Ability to build strong working relationships • Ability to track, prioritize, and drive projects • Growth mindset and enthusiasm for feedback • Commitment to preserving democratic norms and improving representation for communities of color • Experience with writing/editing for diverse audiences is a plus
