• About Us: • Public is an investing platform that makes building a multi-asset portfolio fast, frictionless, and secure. • Members can trade stocks, options, bonds, crypto, ETFs, and alternative assets—all in one place. • Public offers Alpha, a layer of artificial intelligence that provides fundamental data and custom analysis to support informed investment decisions. • In collaboration with the rest of the Copenhagen office, you will develop Public’s cutting-edge trading platform, enabling users to buy and trade stocks and options seamlessly. • Some of your key responsibilities will include: • Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems and APIs using Java Spring boot. • Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to implement new features and enhancements. • Optimize performance and scalability of our trading platform to ensure a seamless user experience. • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to maintain code quality and reliability. • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continually improve.

🎯 Requirements

• BA or MA in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another relevant field; experience in a similar role is most important. • Strong proficiency in Java Spring boot and hands-on experience with backend development. • Experience with Java or .NET is also relevant and can be considered. • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and problem-solving. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced agile environment. • Experience with the financial markets or trading platforms is a plus, but not required. • Fluent in English.
