In this role, you will drive and implement the backend development and evolution of Scribd’s marketing technology stack, enabling data-driven marketing strategies, enhancing customer experiences, and optimizing marketing operations. • You will: Scale paid marketing initiatives by building cross-channel tracking systems, automated attribution frameworks, and seamless integrations across relevant marketing channels. • Implement a platform solution to empower marketing, brand, and product teams to create customizable landing pages with predefined templates and built-in tracking for user segmentation. • Collaborate with marketing and data teams to understand campaign objectives, building technical solutions to enable successful execution and optimization. • Contribute to the architecture and design of scalable systems, participate in code reviews, and drive engineering best practices.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development experience. • Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails, and data engineering technologies such as Apache Airflow, Spark, or dbt. • Proven success delivering scalable, complex software solutions in marketing, data, or analytics environments. • Experience with marketing technology stacks (e.g., Iterable). • Expertise in API development, ETL processes, and data pipelines. • Familiarity with data warehousing and analytics tools. • Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with database concepts for data manipulation and segmentation. • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and generate actionable insights. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across teams. • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality, scalable solutions. • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
