Description

• The Virtual Engineer is responsible for infrastructure tasks including provisioning hypervisors, connectivity issues, upgrades, and audits. • Design, build, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot complex VMware environments. • Ensure proper change management for all upgrades and enhancements. • Troubleshoot problems and take corrective action promptly. • Provide technical support to internal and external users. • US Remote; maintains flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, or related technical field (or 4 years additional experience). • Minimum of 4 years of technical engineering and administration experience (2 years as a systems administrator with cloud platforms). • VCP-DCV Certified. • Experience with VMware and vSphere Suite. • Knowledge of Linux or Windows OS. • Knowledge of designing, building, implementing, analyzing, and troubleshooting distributed systems. • Knowledge of Project Management methodologies. • Understanding of services and protocols, configuration, management, and troubleshooting of hosting environments. • Knowledge of current and emerging network software and hardware technology and protocols. • Basic knowledge of fibre channel SANS, NFS and vSAN. • Knowledge of vROPS.
