Description

• Own all data-focused content creation and ensure the development - and most importantly upkeep - of scalable content. • Oversee the development and implementation of best practices for content production and distribution, with a focus on SEO. • You will be very hands-on with the content classified into three categories: New content for search engines, existing evergreen content that needs to be renewed, and social content that could be optimized for search. • Manage a team of content creators and ensure that they produce high-quality content meeting Ranker's standards. • Work closely with the editorial team to identify opportunities for content improvement. • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and make recommendations to improve our content strategy.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in article-focused content operations, with a strong focus on SEO • Strong understanding of scaling content, ideally with at least a gut understanding of how to leverage data sets and taxonomy to that end • Source and onboard freelancers, the more you have worked with in the past, the better • Strong understanding of content costs, and where it is beneficial to use freelancers to scale faster • Holistically understands traffic sources (e.g. search, social & news) and “intent” in 2024 • Proven experience as a people manager, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of SEO leads and content creators • Metrics-driven, with a strong understanding of how to measure the success of content and use data to inform decisions • Professional or personal experience or interest in pop culture is preferred • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Strong written and verbal communication skills
