• Organise and manage the publishing of fresh, engaging and accurate content for KentLive. • Brief team of reporters to deliver great content - including words, pictures, video, data, and interactives. • Launch live blogs for big stories and maintain audience engagement. • Ensure compelling content on website and social media channels in line with audience data and trends. • Grow loyal audience through newsletters and engaging content, maximising opportunities. • Support and guide team daily, weekly, and monthly, from 1:1s to career development.

Requirements

• NCTJ or equivalent senior qualified journalist with exceptional media law knowledge. • Strong track record of telling stories accurately, engaging large audiences with a real passion for digital storytelling. • Sharp news sense, excellent accuracy and attention to detail. • Skills to be a supportive people manager, able to guide and encourage the team. • Social media savvy with excellent understanding of SEO, search, social and digital audience behaviour. • Ability to create and edit accurate copy at pace, meeting deadlines with ease.
