β’ Resilience Lab is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Medical Director of Psychiatry to lead, oversee, and grow the psychiatric services within our virtual mental healthcare organization. β’ The Medical Director will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality psychiatric care, managing a growing team of clinicians, and developing treatment protocols. β’ This role requires strong leadership skills, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and the ability to implement evidence-based practices. β’ The ideal candidate will have extensive clinical experience in psychiatry, a commitment to collaborative and integrated patient-centered care, experience managing a team of mental health clinicians and a willingness to hire and supervise psychiatric nurse practitioners. β’ A valid medical license and board certification in psychiatry are required, along with excellent communication and organizational abilities. β’ The Medical Director will also be involved in training, mentoring staff, business reporting, staying updated on industry advancements, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
β’ Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school. Completion of a residency in psychiatry. β’ Licensure: A valid and unrestricted medical license to practice psychiatry in New York. Additional licenses in New Jersey and California preferred. Board certification in psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) or equivalent. β’ Experience: Extensive clinical experience in psychiatry, typically 5+ years of post-residency experience. Prior leadership or management experience in a clinical setting, such as medical director or department head roles. β’ Clinical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses, treatment methodologies, psychopharmacology, and emerging trends in mental health care. Experience in handling a diverse range of psychiatric cases, including complex and high-risk patients. β’ Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and potentially others. Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities. β’ Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, staff, and external stakeholders. β’ Administrative Skills: Experience in developing and managing budgets, resources, and operational strategies for psychiatric services.
