Description

• Provide strong analytics and decision products for epidemic preparedness • Collaborate with Ministries of Health and partners in Africa • Support implementation of collaborative surveillance and epidemic intelligence in countries • Develop and launch a structured curriculum for systems thinking for epidemics • Deliver technical assistance to government and embedded staff on surveillance systems and workflows • Innovate contextual data use for risk analysis • Engage in consultative work for innovations in surveillance • Participate in data products task team for decision-making innovations

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., public health, epidemiology, informatics, statistics) • At least 10 years’ related experience, or equivalent experience • Proven ability to work collaboratively with government leadership (Ministers of Health or Directors of National Public Health Institutes) on strategy development and alignment on commitments and timelines • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills for engaging and influencing non-governmental partners, civil society organizations, donors, and multilateral agencies • Experience with business process mapping or systems thinking approaches
