Description

• Full-time, Remote, Exempt • Rewiring America is the leading electrification nonprofit. • Seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Associate General Counsel, Compliance. • This position combines strategic responsibilities with hands-on legal work. • Works cross-functionally to shape strategy and navigate Rewiring America’s role. • Develop, implement, and manage compliance programs. • Maintain relationships with external stakeholders. • Conduct audits and internal investigations. • Provide guidance on procurement, compliance, and lobbying. • Review and update company policies for legal compliance. • Stay up-to-date on industry best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience practicing law with a focus on government contracts and non-profit compliance • Creative problem solver who combines navigating ambiguity with humor • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills • Can-do attitude and willingness to get into the details • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Strong ethics and integrity • Experience conducting internal investigations and audits • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
