📋 Description
• Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for our global engineering team, ensuring alignment with company objectives • Collaborate closely with the founders and product team to define, plan, and execute product development roadmaps • Foster a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation within the engineering team • Manage and mentor a team of remote engineers, promoting collaboration, professional growth, and work-life balance • Drive engineering best practices, including iterative improvement of features and processes, code quality, testing, and performance optimization • Be hands-on with the codebase, performing code reviews and contributing to the development of key features and architectural improvements • Partner with the founders to recruit, retain, and develop top engineering talent • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organization, providing regular updates on project progress and technical direction
🎯 Requirements
• 10 years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams • Strong technical expertise in web application development, preferably with experience in our technology stack (Ruby, Rails, Typescript, React, Google Cloud) • Experience managing remote, globally distributed teams • Demonstrated ability to balance technical excellence with pragmatic decision-making • Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and experience implementing them in engineering teams • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across diverse teams • Passion for sustainable transportation and commitment to our mission of transforming urban mobility
