Description
• Managing a diverse range of actuarial projects • Collaborating with senior leaders on complex analyses adhering to actuarial standards • Developing assumptions, recognizing considerations, and establishing recommendations with actionable insights • Leveraging real-world data and innovative actuarial modeling to recommend, test, validate, and track supporting health economics • Leading technical actuarial work on projects and assisting in the development of less experienced actuaries • Building practice infrastructure by supporting internal initiatives • Partnering with leadership to build scalable financial models and work processes • Building and maintaining strong client relationships • Developing effective cross-functional working relationships for accurate project execution
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field • FSA/ASA designation required • 10+ years of healthcare actuarial experience • Strong knowledge of commercial, value-based care, and/or medical stop loss markets preferred • Value-based care contracting and reimbursement experience preferred • Predictive modeling, ROI analyses, and advanced modeling techniques • Risk modeling and risk mitigation strategy experience • Traditional Health & Welfare actuarial and underwriting experience • Reserving, pricing, and financial modeling experience • Experience supporting specialty pharmacy and/or gene therapy benefits • Project / client / financial management experience • Understanding of healthcare databases and data sources • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access • Experience with SQL, R, Python, or machine learning a plus
