📋 Description
• Build and maintain a resilient, secure, and efficient SaaS application platform to meet established SLAs • Implement, maintain, and consult on the observability and monitoring framework that supports the needs of multiple internal stakeholders. • Collaborate with other teams on improving our observability systems • Monitoring and incident response for distributed applications • Collaborate with developers to bring new features and services into production • Utilize a combination of open-source and custom software to solve product challenges • Serve as a mentor to junior engineers • Write and maintain architectural, stakeholder, and policy documentation • Proactively meet standards for information security and compliance, such as ISO, SOX, SSAE 16, etc.
🎯 Requirements
• Experience in 24x7 production operations, preferably supporting a highly available environment for a SaaS or cloud service provider • Experience with cloud infrastructure environments, preferably AWS • Extensive experience with logging, metrics and distributed tracing systems (e.g. Prometheus/Grafana/ElasticSearch/Honeycomb/Vector) • Experience with containerization technology including: Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS ECS • Release automation (Jenkins, Argo, etc.), system administration, system configuration, and system debugging experience • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform) • Strong understanding of system and networking concepts and troubleshooting techniques • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to operate in an agile, entrepreneurial start-up environment.
