📋 Description

• You’ll plan and lead implementation of product features and framework improvements using Ember.js • You’ll work closely with the Heroku CLI team as part of a shared customer experience • You’ll partner with the Heroku API team to evolve the API to satisfy product requirements • You'll brainstorm with Architects, Product Managers and Designers to conceptualize new features • You'll evaluate new frontend technologies for their potential to solve problems and enhance the product • You'll help our skilled support team triage bugs and troubleshoot production issues • You'll mentor other engineers and deeply review code • Monitor our systems as part of an on-call rotation

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years working on large-scale, complex production web applications • Proficiency with TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS • Proficiency with development tools such as Webpack, npm, Yarn • Broad experience with frontend frameworks, such as Ember and React • Experience implementing responsive web design to support mobile and desktop experiences • Strong understanding of frontend testing methodologies, test-driven development • Strong understanding of web application security • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a distributed team • Ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion, while multi-tasking to support other projects and initiatives • Ability to communicate technical and architectural designs with clear documentation and visualization • Experience successfully mentoring other engineers across the experience spectrum • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field • Additional experience a plus: Loves using Heroku to deploy your own apps • Integrating apps with Salesforce Enterprise compliance requirements, such as HIPPA and PCI • Cloud infrastructure for web sites and services, such as Terraform and AWS/Cloudfront • Extracting API concepts into common libraries • Elixir language, which the Front End team uses to implement front-end-specific utility APIs • Rust language, which Heroku uses to implement Cloud Native Buildpacks
