Description

• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of our dbt environment, ensuring best practices in model development, testing, and deployment • Create, maintain, and enhance fact and dimension tables to support robust and scalable data models, enabling efficient and accurate data analysis • Implement data validation and quality checks within ETL processes to ensure the integrity and reliability of data • Work closely with data analysts, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into efficient solutions • Monitor and improve the performance of data pipelines and queries, ensuring scalability and efficiency as data volumes grow • Maintain clear and concise documentation for data models, ETL processes, and data pipelines to ensure knowledge sharing and transparency across the team

Requirements

• 5+ years of direct experience in data engineering or a related role • Proven experience with dbt, including model development, testing, and deployment. • Experience in designing and implementing data models, including the creation of fact and dimension tables • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehousing technologies (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift) • Hands-on experience with Analytics software, ETL tools, and processes(e.g. FiveTran, AirByte, Tableau, data pipelines) • Strong understanding of data modeling and warehousing concepts (star schema, snowflake schema, data lake, or data mart). • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and their data services. • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD practices. • Previous experience in insurance or financial technology is a plus.
