📋 Description
• Spalding Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Software Tester in Patuxent River, MD. • Delivering cutting-edge solutions to the Department of Defense since 2001. • Develop detailed test plans and procedures for test cases/scenarios based on requirements to identify software problems and their causes. • Test system modifications to prepare for implementation. • Document software and application defects using the Government approved bug tracking system; collaborate with software developers/engineers to ensure software corrections are remedied. • Develop and maintain standard test metrics. • Participate in software design reviews to provide input on requirements, operational characteristics, product designs and schedules. • Other duties as assigned or required.
🎯 Requirements
• Candidate must possess excellent analytical, writing, and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment. • Experience using Application Lifecycle Management tools (Jira). • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, etc.). • A minimum of 5 years of related experience testing web applications. • Desire to tackle new challenges and willingness to support helpdesk and training functions when needed as surge support. • Provide technical assistance to application users. Answer questions or resolve user issues for clients in person, via telephone, or electronically.
