Description
• Handle losses and claims for property and casualty insurers • Examine insurance policies to determine coverage • Interview claimants and witnesses regarding claims • Estimate repair, replacement, or compensation costs • Prepare report of findings and negotiate settlements • Attend litigation hearings and revise case reserves
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred • IIA-AIC designation within 12 to 18 months • Provincial claims adjuster license required • 1 to 2 years of experience • Proven adjusting, negotiating, and analytical skills • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Advanced computer skills including Office, Outlook, and web-based applications
