Description

• Sharetec is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our team! • Develop innovative solutions for credit unions and their members. • Utilize technical expertise to modernize aging software and tech stack. • Lead and mentor a team of high-quality engineers. • Document processes, products, and APIs. • Assist with releases and participate in road mapping sessions. • Advocate for Agile Scrum and coach engineers via pair programming. • Help write new features for customers.

Requirements

• 8+ year's experience as a software engineer, with experience as a technical lead • 2+ year’s managing databases such as Progress OpenEdge, MySQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, PostgreSQL • Experience with Agile Scrum • Experience with a major backend language like C#, C++, .Net, Ruby, Go • Strong communication skills and ability to work well cross-functionally • Actively seek out opportunities to mentor, coach, and sponsor other engineers • Strong product sense and maintain high degree of empathy for internal and external users • Strong sense of development ergonomics • Comfort working with ambiguity • Ability to balance speed and quality of features • Thrive on building scalable systems that are robust, failure-resistant, and easy to maintain • Practice keeping up with industry trends and assessing new technologies
