Description

• Shields is looking to add a Trade Relations Business Analyst to supplement its growing business development team • This will be a very hands-on and analytical role • Work directly with the business development and senior leadership team to execute on key new business priorities • Support the execution of new business and strategic initiatives • Lead and own the creation of detailed analysis and financial models for new clients and business opportunities • Lead and own the creation of strategic business development presentations and proposals • Work directly with senior leadership on contracting and new business priorities • Perform comprehensive and in-depth competitor, new business, and industry research • Organize and prioritize critical issues and required information for the leadership team to facilitate efficient decision making • Assist account managers with QBR templates and historical data pulls • Track current and potential new business opportunities and maintain internal databases • Work with cross-functional teams to provide client solutions • Act as key member of the in-house strategy team to drive new business opportunities • Lead wholesaler account auditing and maintain a database of current access • Other duties as assigned within scope of practice

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred • 1-3 years of experience working in an analytically intensive field (investment banking, management consulting, corporate development) or business development operations experience preferred • Pharmacy technician or background in pharmacy preferred • Healthcare experience or passion for the industry • Entrepreneurial attitude - willingness to roll up his/her sleeves and work alongside staff to make things happen quickly • Must be highly motivated, results-driven professional who can thrive in a team-oriented environment • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required • Experience with a CRM system, preferably Salesforce • Analytically oriented person who makes and defends decisions based on hard data • Hard worker and self-starter who is able to work independently, with limited oversight from managers • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills • Enthusiastic and service-oriented • Professionals will likely travel 10% of their time, meeting with customers, site leaders, operational employees, pharmacists and clinical staff if necessary
