Description

• The Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer tests software and other computer applications to ensure that they function properly and efficiently. • Continuously improve software products and applications, while also adhering to defined timelines and financial budgets. • Develops test and QA strategies, methodologies, plans, and scripts for each project, including unit testing, system testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, and deliverable acceptance processes. • Reviews project requirements and develops extensive system test cases to cover all project requirements, including expected results. • Creates and executes test scripts, cases, and scenarios that will determine optimal system performance according to requirement specifications for new products as well as change requests. • Conducts or supports all types of application testing as needed. • Analyzes formal test results in order to discover defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and track till closure. • Produces reports and documentation for all testing efforts, results, activities, data, logging, and tracking. • Communicates test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management. • Takes ownership of issues arising from testing and assists in resolution. • Works with members of the application development, product management, and QA teams to ensure high-quality applications. • Serves as a mentor and trainer to other QA Testers. • Develops, verifies and deploys reliable, efficient and cost-effective test plans and test cases focused on intelligent risk based testing.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in computer science, business analysis, process redesign, or business administration • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the development and execution of test scenarios, scripts and cases that demonstrate conformance to functional and nonfunctional requirements • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis skills; lead cross-functional team triage • Strong written and verbal communications skills; effectively present to varied audiences • Ability to identify problems or opportunities within the scope of the department’s projects • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of SDLC • Strong background in working in automated product test environments, assist in test automation/maintenance when necessary. Selenium or Cypress experience preferred. • Possess enterprise product testing experience • Must have strong initiative and the ability to work both in a self-directed manner and as part of a team • A passion for breaking things
