Description
• Sigma Defense is seeking a Director of Procurement & Subcontracts to oversee Sigma Defense’s Supply Chain Management team. • This role is pivotal in overseeing procurement, subcontracting, and small business compliance within our organization. • The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of acquisition policies, small business requirements, and FAR and DFARS. • This position will lead a team of acquisition professionals, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and company policies. • Develop recommendations for process enhancements to improve functional efficiency and ensure supply chain optimization. • Involve proactive risk identification, shaping procurement and subcontracting policies and procedures. • Oversee all Sigma Defense subcontracts and purchase orders, ensuring CPSR compliance. • Negotiate and manage key supplier relationships, oversee audits, identify cost reduction opportunities. • Act as the Small Business Liaison Officer (SBLO). • Mentor and develop the procurement team, contributing to continuous improvement and staying updated on industry trends.
Requirements
• 10+ years in government acquisition. • 5+ years of supervisory experience. • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and Outlook). • Excellent oral and written communication, people, and problem-solving skills. • Experience with JAMIS and knowledge of Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) is preferred. • Experience working in a CPSR environment. • Experience participating in an CPSR audit conducted by DCMA. • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management or related field of study.
