Description
• Manage the R&D team and roadmap for the Silvaco SmartSpice© line of products within the Electronic Design Automation (EDA) business unit. • Lead a geographically distributed team of software engineers and technical managers, while providing technical leadership, coaching, mentorship and guidance for team development and growth. • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers to define a product strategy and roadmap to achieve business objectives and communicate project statuses. • Delivering software releases in line with the product roadmap, on time and with high quality. • Customer support activities, as well as pre- and post-sales activities, second-level support, and the qualification of opportunities. • Convey complex technical concepts to clearly and effectively to both customers and peers in verbal and written English.
Requirements
• Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in electrical engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, or a similar field with 6 or more years of related experience. • Understanding (preferably advanced) of the fundamentals, as well as development experience, of VLSI circuit simulation, electrical circuit analysis techniques and concepts. • Understanding of the fundamentals of solid-state physics used in compact modeling for circuit simulation. • Demonstrated skills in project management and resource allocation and prioritization and tracking. • Strong interpersonal and management skills to lead teams cross-functionally and effectively. • Familiar with EDA design environments and able to script in standard languages. • Experience managing the software development lifecycle, prioritize activities and deliver projects on time and within expectations. • Self-motivated individual with excellent problem-solving skills. • Strong oral and written communication skills in English. • Experience in international and remote team building preferred.
