📋 Description
• Recognized as one of BC's Top Employers (2025), SkyBox Labs is a game development studio that works on some of the world’s most iconic games. • The studio is currently co-developing Halo Infinite, working on projects in the Minecraft universe, supporting the dev team at Bungie on Destiny, supporting development of Fallout 76, and working on original IP. • SkyBox Labs is looking for a Senior Environment Artist to join our team and contribute to the immersive worlds of Destiny 2. • This role offers the opportunity to work closely with multiple teams of skilled and talented individuals to shape compelling game spaces. • Your focus will be on engine-driven world-building, owning your space from ideation to the finished level, placing pre-made assets, and utilizing your creative power to bring vibrant environments to life. • If you’re passionate about crafting incredible worlds and want to play a key role in shaping the rich world of Destiny 2, we’d love to hear from you!
🎯 Requirements
• Extensive world-building experience in a game engine • Strong level art and design sensibilities, with a track record of working alongside designers to build gameplay-ready spaces • Expert proficiency in 3ds Max or Maya • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams • Organized and adaptable, with strong time management skills • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to learn new tools and workflows • A portfolio showcasing environmental storytelling, creativity, and technical skill • Nice-to-Haves: Understanding of lighting, FX, or other disciplines • Asset modeling experience • Familiarity with Perforce, Jira, and Shotgrid
