Description

β€’ SmithRx is a rapidly growing, venture-backed Health-Tech company. β€’ The mission is to disrupt Pharmacy Benefit Management by building a next-gen drug acquisition platform. β€’ The Senior Backend Software Engineer will play a key role in all stages of the engineering lifecycle. β€’ The role involves focusing on back-end architecture, designing, developing and maintaining product features. β€’ Collaborate with stakeholders and technical leads. β€’ Apply software development best practices and leverage AWS technologies. β€’ Coach/mentor junior team members. β€’ Work with senior leadership to turn technical vision into a roadmap.

Requirements

β€’ BS or advanced degree in computer science or applicable experience β€’ 8+ years required, or 5+ years with an advanced degree working on server-side applications, specifically around API servers, third party integrations and data processing β€’ Experience at a high-growth startup a plus β€’ Expertise in a compiled language such as Go, C, or C++ is required β€’ Proficiency with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, including schema design, SQL tuning, and database monitoring is required β€’ Demonstrated experience designing and implementing scalable APIs; a solid understanding of design patterns, database design, and testing best practices. β€’ Working knowledge of GraphQL APIs, CI and CD pipeline, AWS platform, Docker, and Kubernetes a plus β€’ Positivity; non-dogmatic, team-first attitude β€’ Flexibility; someone who is responsive and comfortable with ambiguity β€’ Highly disciplined approach to software design and development and ability to work on features independently (accurately forecast delivery milestones and work with stakeholders to ensure that expectations are met)
