• Overall management of the engineering and permitting scope of work for SOLV Energy projects. • Provide management of engineering consultants. • Provide QA/QC of individual work products. • Develop value engineering solutions to enhance fee and reduce risk. • Manage constructability reviews with field teams. • Coordinate with product manufacturers for compliance with project requirements. • Manage engineering and permitting deliverables for assigned projects. • Represent SOLV engineering and permitting team during owner meetings. • Ensure project team personnel are aware of all project-specific requirements. • Review consultant proposals and identify changes impacting budget or schedule. • Manage development of energy production model and final design conformance. • Provide guidance on AHJ requirements and oversee permitting process.
• Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience • Bachelor’s degree in engineering • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Solar Engineering or Solar Management • Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred • Working knowledge of applicable building codes and requirements • Ability to read and understand civil/electrical/structural plans and geotechnical reports • Effective organizational skills • Ability in problem-solving • Strong sense of urgency
