📋 Description

• Under the direct supervision of the Director or designee, the Pharmacy Associate I will function as a team member for the client programs within Clinical Pharmacy Services (CPS). • CPS is responsible for administering client-specific programs to provide clinical expertise regarding our member’s medications. • This position will handle calls with members, prescribers and pharmacists to provide and obtain information regarding client-specific initiatives. • The incumbent of this position will assist in the sorting of medication prior authorization requests, under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist. • Review medication information, call member, and record the call outcome in a pharmacy database. • Handle outbound and inbound phone calls regarding client-specific work. • Sort the medication prior authorization requests into appropriate drug class. • Provide information to prescribers and pharmacists regarding member prescriptions. • Participate in orientation and/or guidance of Pharmacy Associate I in performance of their duties. • Assist CPS staff with data entry, medication monitoring, and insurance eligibility for ad hoc reports and client work. • Assist CPS consultant pharmacist regarding client appeals. • Participate in CPS staff meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and in-service programs as requested. • Perform other client work as required per client initiative(s).

🎯 Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED • Some pharmacy related experience. • Licensed Certificate, active unrestricted MA Pharmacy Technician License and/or active unrestricted National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT). • Bilingual, Spanish preferred. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. • Attention to detail and organization. • Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced call center environment. • Ability to work well in a team. • Dependability. • Computer Skills – Basic understanding of Word, Excel, Outlook.
