• Partner at all levels of the organization to develop, implement, and execute an organization-wide legal strategy • Lead the development and implementation of strategy for legal and government relations • Design, develop, and deliver the organization's legal strategy and services • Represent the organization in external relations with clients, industry, partners, and the public • Provide authoritative specialist advice to the leadership team and board of directors • Identify and manage stakeholders up to and including C-suite • Develop and improve relationships with board members • Identify and engage external consultants or advisers • Set and communicate the strategy for achieving the organization's mission, vision, and values • Manage and report on organization performance • Identify the capabilities needed to meet the organization needs of your function • Directly supervise the legal and government relations team

Requirements

• Juris Doctor from an accredited university • Wide and deep experience providing expert competence, over ten (10) to fifteen (15) years • Experience of planning and managing teams to deliver predetermined objectives as specified by more senior managers (a minimum of five years) • Previous experience advising and representing sector entities • Knowledge of local, state and federal legislative and executive processes
