Description
• Work with the product development team on multi-departmental projects • Create solutions that meet market needs relating to architecture, implementation, testing and maintenance • Contribute to next generation advanced analytics platform • Collaborate with the product development team to define, design and implement backend systems • Define and implement REST API for internal and external AI processing services • Optimize API and database performance for speed and scalability • Develop secure and robust backend systems • Build and maintain serverless microservices • Own deployment toolchain and automation process for the backend • Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
Requirements
• BA Degree in Computer Science, engineering, or equivalent experience • Minimum 7 years experience as a Back End Developer, Database Developer or similar roles • Significant experience of building secure, scalable RESTful APIs (PHP, Python) • Strong knowledge of cloud-based platforms, particularly AWS • Significant experience working with serverless architectures and microservices • Expertise in managing CI/CD pipelines and automating backend deployment processes • Significant experience working with databases and data warehousing systems (PostgreSQL) • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git • C++ and FFMPEG/h264 experience is a plus • Passion for rapid prototyping and iterative development in a collaborative team environment • Passion for sports and solid hockey/soccer knowledge is a plus!
