📋 Description

• Act as a consultant in complex or mission-critical client requirements. • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to support new domain spaces and technologies. • Synthesize research and analysis to diverse set of stakeholders and clients. • Work to apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts and develop comprehensive solutions to complex problems. • Support the development of divisional policies, standards, processes, work instructions and templates. • Perform research and investigations of government regulations particularly in relation to critical infrastructure and risk analysis. • Participate in all phases of scientific and analysis projects such as research, design, development, testing, modeling, simulating, training, and documentation. • Create compelling and intuitive visualizations using and/or representing complex and diverse datasets. • Integrate and harmonize disparate sources of data to create novel datasets that can be used to develop new insights and solutions. • Use exploratory techniques to assess the completeness and appropriateness of data for a given problem.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a discipline with quantitative coursework • 3-7 years prior experience in a similar role • Broad range of experience in the analysis of agency business issues (technical, operational, financial and/or business case problems) • Strong experience with library/internet research and excitement about learning details of new domain spaces and technologies • Ability to communicate well with clients, both in written reports and verbal communications • Proficiency with modern approaches in data analytics (e.g., statistics, machine learning, econometrics) • Familiarity with at least one programming language with extensive support for data analytics (e.g., Python and/or R preferred) • Aptitude for working with a diverse set of stakeholders and managing competing priorities • Ability to obtain DHS suitability
