📋 Description

• Play a vital role in ensuring our containerization initiatives succeed. • Support both MongoDB and PostgreSQL deployments. • Experience in containerized MongoDB deployment under Kubernetes and Docker is ideal. • Ensure production and lower environments are reliable and resilient. • Ensure environments are performant in support of the application. • Implement industry best practices for database performance, security, and disaster recovery. • Maintain vendor relationships to support environments. • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers. • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines specific to database operations. • Collaborate with private cloud, DevOps, and development teams on deployment and maintenance.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with MongoDB in an enterprise environment. • Expertise with cloud-based database services. • Proficiency in other databases like PostgreSQL and a willingness to work with additional NoSQL database engines. • Expertise with Kubernetes and Docker for containerized applications. • Advanced skills in scripting and automation using Bash and Python. • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins for database operations. • Experience with performance tuning, optimization, and scalability of databases. • Strong understanding of database observability, security, backups, and disaster recovery strategies. • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills. • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and influence cross-functional teams. • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) is preferred. • Knowledge of SQL Server is preferred. • Strong understanding of distributed database architecture is preferred.
