📋 Description

• We are looking for an Intermediate Accountant who is responsible for undertaking all tax & accounting activities, including preparation, review, and analysis of tax returns and financial statements and deliver associated quality, professional accounting outcomes. • The ideal candidate has a good working knowledge of Australian taxation, bookkeeping, and admin procedures. • Organize and update financial records as needed (digital) for tax purposes. • Good knowledge and experience in Australian tax compliance. • Ability to prepare Tax Returns for individuals and uncomplicated entities. • Ability to prepare Financial Statements and Tax Returns. • Preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Installment Activity Statements (IAS). • General bookkeeping & accounting procedures and other ad hoc tasks as required. • Stay informed on industry developments and changes in regulations. • Work with a team of accountants and manage workflow, timeliness, and accuracy. • Assume responsibility of accounting procedures and administrative functions and reports. • Proactive communication with clients on paperwork follow-ups.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Tax; CA - CPA preferred. • Minimum 3 years experience in Australian accounting and taxation. • Can prepare Australian income tax returns for Company, Trust, Partnerships & Sole Trader. • Sound technical knowledge, has willingness to learn; responsible, reliable, flexible. • Has proactive approach to business and technology. • Excellent written and verbal English communication and interpersonal skills. • Excellent knowledge of Handi products(not required, good to have), MS Office, Excel, Xero, MYOB, and other Accounting software. • Strong research, problem solving, and interpersonal skills. • Highest standard of ethics, confidentiality and professionalism.
