Description

• Standard Metrics, formerly known as Quaestor, is an automated financial collaboration platform. • Looking to add an experienced Backend Engineer with solid experience in DevOps and cloud infrastructure. • Opportunity to have a big impact on the core product platform and the team’s culture and direction. • Design, architect, and build Standard Metrics’ core platform initiatives. • Collaborate with the product team to define features aligned with company goals and values. • Lead design, implementation, and management of scalable and secure infrastructure solutions. • Architect manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ensuring maintainability and scalability. • Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment. • Integrate advanced deployment strategies such as blue-green deployments and canary releases. • Architect AWS cloud environment focusing on high availability and disaster recovery. • Implement and manage enterprise-level monitoring, logging, and alerting systems. • Lead implementation of security best practices, including automated security testing and incident response strategies. • Mentor and guide product engineers in best practices and methodologies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience in Python • 2+ years of experience in DevOps, System Administration, or related role • Experience with AWS cloud platforms, including advanced services and architectures • Proven expertise with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm • Deep experience with version control systems, notably Git, and familiarity with branching strategies and best practices
