📋 Description

• Responsible for risk selection, pricing and proposal for Group Supplemental Health new business and renewals • Evaluate, rate and negotiate prices on new business using standard underwriting principles • Partner with sales and subject matter experts for comprehensive pricing and solutions • Manage inforce block of business to maintain profit and persistency expectations • Mentoring and underwriter development

🎯 Requirements

• Ability to work with a diverse group of people • BA/BS degree preferred • Minimum of 7+ years of group underwriting experience • Highly skilled in written and verbal communications, organization, time/work management, establishing interpersonal relationships, and problem solving • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flex to changing demands • Motivated, positive, team player • Proficient PC skills, including Excel and word processing applications • Strong analytical and negotiation skills • High-level, technical understanding of underwriting principles and theory
