Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable pipelines to process data and run machine learning models • Build and manage data warehouses, data lakes, and other data storage solutions • Research and apply the latest cutting edge standards for building scalable data infrastructures in the cloud • Collaborate with data scientists and other team members to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, and participate in code reviews and pair programming sessions

Requirements

• 4+ years practical experience as a data engineer or similar role • Theoretical foundation in data engineering and/or database theory • Practical experience in building and operating data heavy and processing heavy pipelines • Experience in Cloud technologies, ideally Google Cloud Platform • Expertise in automation/orchestration tools (e.g. Kubeflow, Airflow, Dagster, Dataform, Prefect) • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., BigQuery, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) • Proficiency in Python • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team • Strong communication skills
