Description

• Tailscale is building the new Internet by delivering software that makes it easy to securely interconnect people and their devices. • We’re seeking a talented and motivated full-time Product Engineer to join our growing team. • Develop the Tailscale product, contributing to client code and backend services. • Take ownership of the entire product lifecycle. • Collaborate with UX/UI designers and product managers. • Work closely with marketing and revenue teams. • Create and measure experiments to understand customer engagement. • Ensure the right metrics and visibility are available for experiments. • Collaborate with designers, PMs, and other engineers. • Contribute creative ideas for product features. • Develop Tailscale product features collaboratively. • Conduct code reviews. • Enhance product quality and maintainability. • Influence roadmap with technical insights. • Create technical prototypes for potential features. • Incorporate user feedback into the development process.

Requirements

• Strong track record of working with a product mindset and influencing product strategy • Experience with backend and client development • User-focused design and problem-solving abilities • Cross-functional collaboration and communication skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to give and process constructive feedback, as well as work independently • Flexibility to adjust to the dynamic nature of a startup • Adaptable development and iterative mindset
