📋 Description

• Oversee and directly manage Takeda’s Import and Export Logistics and Trade Compliance activities. • Ensure shipments are executed in accordance with the rules and regulatory requirements. • Manage daily import and export transactions by providing direction and oversight to logistic vendors. • Prepare relevant import/export documents and determine classifications such as Country of Origin, HTS Codes, and more. • Instruct customs brokers and freight forwarders on clearance of import/export transactions. • Create educational and proactive communications. • Assist in the management of contracts and maintain vendor relationships. • Develop and maintain updated control documents for Import and Export activities. • Identify key opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to eliminate compliance deficiencies.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferred in Business, Science or Law. • 6 or more years’ experience in R&D material management/clinical supplies/logistics. • 4 years’ experience in importing and exporting in pharmaceutical, chemical, munitions, high end electronics or biopharma industry. • Strong understanding and experience with international trade compliance laws and regulations including but not limited to, imports, exports, economic sanctions, Harmonization Tariff system (HTS), country of origin, and Free Trade Agreements. • Preferred: HAZMAT Certification IATA and DOT. • US Customs Broker License.
