📋 Description

• Start Date: Immediate • EXPANSIA is a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) delivering exceptional strategy and technology integration services to the U.S. Federal Government. • We support several Department of Defense (DoD) and Federal Agencies across the CONUS. • EXPANSIA is seeking a Database Administrator who will be a part of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Consolidated Applications and Platform Services (NCAPS) team. • As a Database Administrator III, you will be responsible for support of database systems and applications on a geographically dispersed Enterprise network with multiple types of servers and server applications. • You will implement, optimize, and maintain database systems to ensure seamless business operations, security, and efficiency. • You will manage database performance through index tuning, backup recovery, and integration while enforcing security controls and data integrity. • Your role includes developing stored procedures, formulating policies, and overseeing database administration tasks such as scheduling backups, managing replication, and monitoring transaction activity. • You will support database designers and analysts in developing SQL and web-based databases, reviewing technical designs, and implementing high-level reporting systems. • The proposed salary range for this position is $104,750 - $112,500. • Our employees value the flexibility EXPANSIA allows them to balance quality work and their personal lives. • We offer competitive compensation, benefits and learning and development opportunities.

🎯 Requirements

• Active Public Trust • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 5 - 7 years of experience, or a Master's with 3 - 5 years of experience • Oracle, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Certification • CompTIA Security + (IAT Level II or greater) • Depth of knowledge and experience in major relational database systems, languages, and applications, such as Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) Server, Oracle, and MySQL • Must demonstrate the ability to pay keen attention to detail, possess a strong customer service orientation, and have the ability to work as part of a team • Proficiency in SQL commands, stored procedures, and database optimization techniques • Strong understanding of database security, integrity, and backup recovery processes • Ability to troubleshoot and independently solve complex technical database challenges • Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner
